Wild Life Care

The term "wildlife conservation" reminds us to conserve resources that have been provided to us by nature as gifts. Wildlife represents animals that are not domesticated or sensible. They are just wild animals and live entirely in the forest environment. Conservation of such animals and plant species is necessary so that they can be out of danger of extinction, and this whole action is called wildlife conservation.
By applying appropriate methods, species of wildlife can be protected from extinction or extinction and this is called wildlife conservation. Wild animals and plants play an important role in the ecosystem where they live.

Need for wildlife protection

This is the result of the way in which man is progressing in his lifestyle and modernity. The heavy felling of trees and forests is destroying wildlife habitats. The thoughtless deeds of humans are responsible for the mass extinction of wildlife species. Hunting or the act of hunting illegally is also a punishable offense, no wildlife species should be killed for its own enjoyment.

Wild animals and plants play an important role in maintaining ecological balance. Their importance cannot be denied. There are many factors that are a threat to wildlife creatures. Increased pollution, temperature and climate change, excessive exploitation of resources, irregular hunting or poaching, loss of habitat, etc. are the major causes of wildlife depletion. Many works and policies have been formulated and revised by the government towards the conservation of wildlife.
Wildlife conservation is a process of conservation and management of wildlife facing threat of extinction. Wildlife is an important part of our ecology. They are animals or plants which are the supporting systems of our ecosystem. They live either in forests or in forests in a forest environment. They are helping to maintain our ecological balance. Inhuman actions are playing the biggest role in extinction or extinction of wildlife creatures. India is rich in biodiversity, but there are also many factors to its detriment.

Leading factors for the destruction of wildlife

Excessive use of resources
Natural habitat loss
Pollution
Break up habitat
Hunting and poaching
Climate change
Types of wildlife conservation

In-situ conservation - In this type of conservation, species of plants and animals and their genetic material are protected or conserved within their habitat. These types of areas are called protected areas. They are national parks, sanctuaries, biosphere reserves, etc.
Ex-situ conservation - This technique of conservation involves protecting or conserving species of plants and animals, as well as genetic material outside their habitat. This is done in the form of gene banks, cryopreservation, tissue culture, captive breeding and botanical gardens.

Wildlife conservation efforts in India

Project Tiger: This project was launched by the Government of India in 1973 with an initiative for the conservation and management of the dwindling tiger population. Bengal tigers were rapidly decreasing their numbers and habitats as a result of increasing human activities and progress. So a project was initiated to save their habitat and their numbers. The project was administered by the National Tiger Conservation Authority.
The main objective of the project was to save the tiger habitat from destruction. As well as ensuring an increase in the tiger population.

The project had a positive outlook to save our Royal Bengal Tigers, as their number increased to around 1000-5000 after this effort. At the initial stage, there were 9 protected areas which increased to 50 by 2015. This was indeed a successful effort towards conservation of the national animal tiger.

Project Elephant: Development related activities like construction of road, railway, resort, building, etc. are responsible for clearing many forests and grazing places, resulting in destruction of habitat of various wild animals. Something similar was also seen with elephants. The elephant project was launched by the Government of India in the year 1992 to preserve elephant numbers, maintain their habitat, reduce human-animal conflict as well as reduce poaching and poaching.
The project was launched at the central level, but it was initiated by the states, under this project various states were also provided funds as per the requirements. 16 states were mainly implementing this act.

Crocodile Conservation Project: This project was started in the year 1975 at the state levels. The purpose of this project was to prevent the destruction of the habitat of crocodiles and thus help to increase their numbers. The hunting and killing of crocodiles should be monitored. As a result of this initiative, their number was increased from 100 to 1000 by the year 2012.
UNDP Sea Turtle Conservation Project: The project initiated by UNDP was aimed at proper management and conservation of the dwindling population of turtles.
Population explosion and urbanization onlyThe result is an increase in the activity of cutting down forests into buildings, hotels, or human settlements. This has resulted in a decrease in habitat for various species living in the forest. They had to leave those places and look for new accommodation which is not easy. The discovery of new habitat, a lot of competition for food, leads many species to the brink of extinction.

Wildlife animals and plants are important aspects of nature. Losses at any level can have unnatural consequences. They are responsible for ecological balance and for the subsistence of mankind, this balance must be maintained. Therefore, along with conservation efforts by the government, it is also our social responsibility, that we personally contribute to the conservation of wildlife.
It is the sole and social responsibility of man, on an individual basis, that everyone should strive for the conservation of our renewable resources. They are valuable and should be used wisely. Wildlife animals and plants add beauty to our nature. Their uniqueness, the beautiful sound of some birds and animals, makes the atmosphere and habitat very pleasing and amazing.

God has given everyone the right to live.  We as humans are considered the most sensitive beings.  We also have the responsibility to protect other living beings.  It should not be violated by mankind.  For conservation of wildlife and development of wild ecology, Swarashtra Seva Foundation is conducting many programs.  Contact us to join the programs of Swarashtra Seva Foundation and donate to help in the programs to protect and sustain the ecosystem.  How important your small donation is to these silent creatures.  You can guess this by the satisfaction you get from collaborating in the program.  Donate to Swarashtra Seva Foundation.
